When I was 14 years old, I was attracted to racing pigeons through my father, Danny Foster, who raced very successfully from Lerwick (614 miles) with a very small team of pigeons.
I won the Young Bird averages in my first year of racing in the Northfleet and District Racing Pigeon Club, with up to 26 members.
I was only racing five young birds at that time. Later, I broke all the club records by winning most 1st prizes in one season and I was not out of the top three positions in old bird and young bird racing.
My brother, Kevin, is also one of the leading fanciers in the UK. He has won two BICC Nationals in the last few seasons and in 2023 he was 2nd National Barcelona with the BICC.
